Since 1945. In 1944, the U.S. Government asked John M. Donofrio to make and package a ready-mix soup that would dissolve faster than bullion cubes for soldiers in the field during World War II. Mr. Donofrio and a chemist, named McKay, worked together and formulated the powdered mixes, which have changed very little in the past 60 years.
McKays products are all-organic and contain no meat or meat byproducts. Some people use McKays mixed with water for soup. Others prefer using it as a seasoning for a variety of dishes. Whatever way you like it, McKays is the taste of quality.
