VENTS-US filters can be used in our Freshbox units without decreasing air flow and straining your HVAC equipment.
HEPA – a type of pleated mechanical air filter. It is an acronym for “high efficiency particulate air” and is recommended when the very highest level of filtration is needed.
MERV 14 – most often found in pharmacy and hospital applications, though they can be used in residential places. MERV 14 filters are particularly helpful for those who are more sensitive to infections.
MERV 8 – Very common for general residential and commercial use. These tend to work best in homes with older furnaces and can handle having both humans and pets in the household.
All air cleaners require periodic cleaning and filter replacement to function properly. The MERV8 are washable, recommended cleaning every MERV14 are disposable, recommended replacement every 6-12 months. The HEPA is disposable, recommended replacement every 3-5 years depending on soilage.
